Opposites repel !!
But... What have we interpreted out of this?? Was it meant for any other thing except the magnet??? Let me just run through the ideas in my head...
We have generalized this law and made it applicable to humans also... So we generally have this mentality that if we share opposite ideas or have contradicting nature... We should attract... Well I have some different ideas... or maybe a different angle to this which I believe would change the entire meaning of this law!
So.. Consider a couple... Opposite ideas… contradicting nature... enjoy each others company and enter into a relationship.. All is going well… Now comes the time to make decisions.. I don’t see any chance that their ideas would possibly match… their way of thinking... ideologies... etc would not run in sync.. If both of them don’t stay on the same page, there is nothing that would ever be sorted out… All that I can see is... Differences would increase... Dissatisfaction leading to fights…
If these fights need to be solved, both the parties should agree to one single point and take actions accordingly... In a matter of time, they would agree to one another’s views... And the result would be that both would start thinking alike… Now is when their problems would end...
I don’t see opposites attracting... As long as people are not on the same lines, they cannot possibly gel with each other... So as far as I am concerned... this law doesn’t prove true in case of humans.. So I think we should just stop stereotyping the entire law... Let’s just let the magnets enjoy the law!!

Lets Kill Gandhi !!
On June 25 1934, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was in Pune along with his wife, Kasturba Gandhi, to deliver a speech at Corporation Auditorium. They were travelling in a motorcade of two cars. En route, they came across a railway level crossing. The car in which the couple was travelling was delayed and the first car reached the auditorium. Just when the first car arrived at the auditorium, a bomb was thrown, which exploded near the car. This caused grievous injury to the Chief Officer of the Pune Municipal Corporation, two policemen and seven others. Nevertheless, no account or records of the investigation nor arrests made can be found. Gandhi's secretary, Pyarelal Nayyar believes that the attempt failed due to lack of planning and co-ordination.
The second attempt on the life of Mahatma Gandhi may not have been an attempt to assassinate as much as a demonstration of anger by an angry young man who tried to bow down to the great soul Gandhi and was rejected. In May 1944, Gandhi was sent from Agha Khan Palace prison and soon after he contracted malaria. by evening, during the prayer meeting, Nathuram Godse rushed towards Gandhi with a dagger shouting anti-Gandhi slogans. He was unable to reach Gandhi as he was overpowered.
The third attempt was also a demonstration. However, people who testified before the Kapur Commission referred it as an attempt to murder. Mahatma Gandhi began his talks with Mohammad Ali Jinnah on 9 September 1944 which lasted for 14 days. While leaving for Mumbai from Sevagram Ashram, a group of Hindu activists stopped him. They did not want him to go to Mumbai to hold talks with Jinnah, however, these protesters were stopped by volunteers of the ashram. The leader of this group, Nathuram Godse, was again found in possession of a dagger.
June 29, 1946, the train carrying Mahatma Gandhi called Gandhi Special derailed between Neral and Karjat stations of Mumbai Section. The report submitted by the motorman or driver of the train claimed that boulders were placed on the tracks of the train, with the intention to derail it. The train had crashed into the boulders. The Pune police claimed that the boulders were placed by looters to stop trains carrying goods. The police have not disclaimed sabotage. Since the Gandhi Special was the only train on that route at that time, and there were no goods trains on the section, either before or after, it is plausible that Gandhi must have been the target.
On January 20, 1948, Madanlal Pahwa, Shankar Kistaiya, Digambar Badge, Vishnu Karkare, Gopal Godse, Nathuram Godse, and Narayan Apte came to Birla Bhavan (aka Birla House) in Delhi to carry out another attack on Mahatma Gandhi. Except for Madanlal Pahwa and Vishnu Karkare, everyone else reached the venue through the rear entrance in a cab.On interrogation, Madanlal Pahwa admitted that he was part of a seven member gang who wanted to kill Gandhi. The plan was that Madanlal Pahwa would explode a bomb as close to the podium as possible while Digambar Bagde or Shankar Kishtaiyya would shoot Gandhi in the head during the ensuing panic and stampede, using the chaotic situation to cover their escape.
After the failed attempt at Birla House, Nathuram Godse and Narayan Apte returned to Pune via Mumbai. With the help of Dr. Dattatraya Parchure and Gangadhar Dandavate, Nathuram Godse and Narayan Apte purchased a Beretta Semi-automatic firearm and eleven rounds of ammunition at Gwalior and reached Delhi on January 29, 1948, checking into the Retiring room No. 6 at Delhi Railway Station. On January 30, 1948, at 5:17 p.m., Nathuram Godse got close enough to Mahatma Gandhi and shot him three times in his chest at point-blank range.
The last word(s) uttered by Mahatma Gandhi are still a matter of debate. Venkita Kalyanam, former personal assistant to Mr. Gandhi, said that he was present at the spot and that Gandhi said "oh". So where did the 'Hey Ram' come from??? Made up ??
In the First Information Report there is no statement that any doctor was called. There has been no explanation of why he was not rushed to hospital and was instead taken to Birla House, where he died later.
Cannot rely on history books anymore !!
Peace V/s Pieces !!
The saunders murder case which was a result of police attrocities on Lala Lajpat Rai (who had led the silent..yes silent procession to protest against the simon comission). We all know Bhagat singh didnt shoot at Mr. J.P. Saunder though he was involved in the murder (There is no specific proof to it.. so British statements cannot be relied upon !! Indian Law !!).
The bomb blast in the assembly which was passing the Defense of India Act which was supposed to give the police more powers. This bill lost by one vote. But the Britishers had some other plans. They decided to pass this bill anyways and said it was for public interest.
On April 8, 1929, Singh and Dutt threw a bomb onto the corridors of the assembly and shouted "Inquilab Zindabad!" ("Long Live the Revolution!"). This was followed by a shower of leaflets stating that it takes a loud voice to make the deaf hear. The bomb neither killed nor injured anyone; Singh and Dutt claimed that this was deliberate on their part, a claim substantiated both by British investigators who found that the bomb was not powerful enough to cause injury, and by the fact that the bomb was thrown away from people. Singh and Dutt gave themselves up for arrest after the bomb.
Gandhiji could save his life but it would mean Gandhiji would not be able to gain popularity and have his face on the rupee note... He had his fate. People close to him killed him. This was not the first time this was thought about. In all five attempts were made to assassinate him. Three of them were made by a group led my Nathuram Godse himself (Who finally succeeded... And inside people were involved too... what do you take of that ??). Bhagat Singh and Partition of India being few of the reasons. He could save everything (including himself).. But need for power is much more than saving lives !!! Rite... Mr. Khadi-Man ???
What makes us think Bhagat Singh wanted violence. I dont find him taking lives or even running away from the police !! He could have happily lived his life. But he had to help us stupid people to breathe in free air. And we dont even bother to know how much he sacrificed for us. All we do is read history books and clear our exams. Even our teachers give us full marks for mentioning Bhagat Singh was violent and Gandhiji brought us freedom. Its same like Sehwag scoring 80 of 40 balls and Sachin scoring 100 of 90 balls and we say "We won cauz of Sachin".. Indian mentality !!
Its not about Anti-Gandhi. No doubt he has a lion share in our independence. But... Bhagat singh made things a lot more easier for him. Just an eye opener !!!

What an idea Sirjee !!
But but but .. Mr Sibal.. On one side you are increasing the bar and on the other side you have also made statements of eliminating the culture of coaching classes. Sir, you need to understand that once you increase the competition behind this, there is a lot of study pressure on the students . Our professors have hardly done something great in their fields to give that kind of output.
Sir, just an advice , if you really want to increase our education standards , try eliminating minority quotas and reservations. Its not like we are against equal rights but students who do not have the capacity to get into an IIT , get through and the students who fell 0.5% short of making it have to suffer.
Instead of eliminating coaching classes , more attention should be given to capable students who are left out or do not get the opportunity. We need to promote potential and not religion.
Nevertheless, in reference to IIT , a job well done !!!
